"Manifesting"
Bringing our theater festival to life
Dear friends,
“Manifesting” has always sounded new agey to me, but I’m learning that it turns out to be hugely helpful to state what you want. Who knew!
In the past few months, since sharing that I wanted to make my play The Cycles come to life, doors have opened. My friends Lisa Clair and Kate Kremer, whose writing I love and who had similar desires for their work, are joining me to create a festival of our three plays. Taking a page from 13P, we are already seeing how producing each other’s work feels so much more possible and joyful than doing it alone. Since coming together, partners have also come on board: Immediate Medium is producing the festival and offering us rehearsal and performance space at the Collapsable Hole in the West Village. New Georges and Clubbed Thumb are supporting us with mentorship and financial resources. It feels like we have a downtown theater indie rock band supergroup backing us up.
Now, in my era of manifesting, I’m inviting *you* to join us in helping us bring our friendly festival to life! Today we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign:
🎈 SUPPORT KUNST FEST HERE! 🎈
You can also support our festival by COMING to our shows! Mark your calendars for Sept 15–20th, baby.
With love and thanks,
Rachel
